Runway highlights from the Adam Selman SS17 show at MADE New York.
For a brutally hot summer spent in New York City, the quintessential cool girl looks no further than Adam Selman to hit the sweet spot between cute, tough and functional that NYC girls are known for. This SS17 collection lived up to that reputation with a fresh-out-the-shower aesthetic, using bedroom decor details like duvé trims and piping on printed or self-striped poplin. One print story featured reclining girls posed as if they couldn’t be bothered getting dressed and decided to stay home to lay under the AC for the night. Of course that would never be the case with a Selman-stocked wardrobe, as you’d have no reason not to go out and run around in your adorable new party frock – made from what could have spent a previous incarnation as your childhood crochet blanket or sheer Venetian curtains.
