It’s all kinds of bling for this Eritrean custom.
Take a look at MADE Tribe photographer Jill Schweber‘s one of a kind experience at a custom tradition in further corners of the globe.
“My first Eritrean wedding experience. The traditional Eritrean dance had my shoulders really aching by the end of the night, and I just about peed my pants from laughing so hard. All the music that was played that night was in Tigrigna, the official Eritrean language. The only English song, which was played during the couples first dance as man and wife, accompanied by smoke and bubbles, was Enrique Iglesias “Hero.” Despite the suffering and struggle the Eritrean refugees face en route and upon arriving in Israel, Semere and other members of his community still find a way to make their special traditions a reality.” —Jill
