The Lithuanian born and Australian-based artist, EGYBOY is the Art Cowboy of the art world. His style “Whateverism” is best described as simple, ironic, witty, and fun. Not only can you find his works from sprayed down alleyways and socks on feet to hanging on gallery walls and surfboards on waves, this Art Cowboy is also the author of two books Basta and My Flag is Back. These were published as part of his exhibitions, which go hand in hand with his truthful, amusing and entertaining style.

What are you working on right now?
I am vacuuming my carpet and thinking about Jeff Koons art, making a tattoo flash a bird ibis for my friend and focusing for my street-wear fashion label with my twin brother / artist name EGYBOY push ups.

Explain the concept of “Whateverism.”
When you dribble tribble your lines with markers over and over again; and for your big surprise you have (art) masterpiece. Still practicing ☺

Jeff Koons, Pal crew from Paris (fresh), Keith Haring, Basquiat, Banksy, Fuzi, Quickhoney, Shoboshobo, Faile. So many.
What is your proudest career moment to date?
I think life is life. Everything coming step by STEP.
Where do you look for inspiration in the city?
Stickers, legs, under umbrellas, toilets.
What’s your most played song right now?
Damon Albarn – The Selfish Giant (sentimental).
Any rituals you swear by?
I want to believe in this motto: enjoy the game!
What song makes you lose it at the club?
Rave, some lasers and no sugar.
Biggest pet peeve?
When someone is eating very loud and very close to my ear.
What’s your favorite book?
I can’t name the real title (forgot) but it was a book – the one I had a chance to read in my childhood…life story through the rat eyes. Fantastic drama.
Biggest turn on?
Early in the morning: water + lemon juice
